Emilie is an amazing doula and person. After having my son 2 1/12 weeks early, I realized I was going to need help because my husband would be travelling for work. I called several resources that I trusted in the Sacramento birthing community searching for referrals and Emilie was on everyone's list. From the moment she entered my home, it was clear I made the right choice.

I wasn't really sure what a doula did but I just knew I needed support. Emilie has a natural intuition and seems to know just what a new mama needs. From a nap, to a home cooked meal, or just an ear to listen to concerns, she was there for me and my son. She coached me through new challenges with my little man and even helped setup and organize our nursery.

Emilie provided help in so many unexpected ways. I don't know what I would have done with out her!

Emilie was so helpful for our family. She was totally competent in the kitchen and able to provide our family with meals after baby came. She was great with my older children, helping to get them ready for the day and also give me some space from them. She has such a great air about her, and really was a calming, peaceful presence in our home, during a busy time. I would highly reccommend her.

I used Emilie as a postpartum doula after the birth of my second child. Before this birth I didn't really understand how valuable postpartum doula care is - I do now! Even though I was a second-time mom and had nursed my first child, I faced bigger challenges breastfeeding this time around. Emilie was not only there with her kindness and encouragement (and literally letting me cry on her shoulder :) she also helped research my issues. She gave me evidence based information on what could be wrong and put me in touch with a great lactation consultant. Without Emilie, I'm sure breastfeeding would have ended early. Emilie made sure I was fed and resting; she played with and read to our toddler; she helped do laundry and dishes so that I could focus on my baby and my recovery.

Emilie clearly loves what she does. She seemed truly honored to be invited into the space of our family, and brought a calm, gentle spirit to our home.I would absolutley recommend giving her a call if you are looking for postpartum help.

Emilie was an answer to prayer! She came to my home right after I had my baby and helped me immedicately feel more comfotable as a new mom. She answered all my questions and was friendly to me and my family. Most importantly, she helped show me how to breastfeed my baby. I had such hard time getting my baby to nurse in the hospital, and she really put my mind at ease once she showed me a few tricks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a postpartum doula.

"Working with Emilie has been a pleasure.  She is prompt, professional, organized and responsible.  Specifically she is attentive to hygiene, always washing her hands as she enters the house, communicating any health concerns; she is warm and supportive, offering encouragement and support to mom and dad while offering a patient warmth to the baby; she is proactive, looking for what needs to be done, doing what would be nice to have done, and just making the home a pleasant, calm place, in the midst of the exciting and overwhelming experience of new parenthood. We are so thankful to have had Emilie join our family in these weeks. We highly recommend her to anyone who could use an extra set of active helping hands and a warm heart to help in the care of their baby."

"Becoming a mother was the most precious moment of my life. I had ideas and plans on how I would nurture my son. Some of these plans worked out exactly how I imagined and some did not. When we came home from the hospital I remember Em standing by my bedside, while Johnny and I were struggling for him to latch, and she was reassuring me with tears in her eyes. I knew her tears were from understanding, and that was the most relieving feeling. Becoming a mom, for me, is learning to go with the flow and learning what works best for you and your sweet baby♥"

"Emilie is an excellent resource for new mothers and fathers. She alerted my husband in the hospital that day 3 postpartum my emotions might be running high due to the rapid decline in pregnancy hormones. Not only was she right but thanks to Emilie my husband was prepared and extra comforting and I felt normal instead of crazy!  I struggled with breastfeeding my son. Emilie provided me with support, encouragement, and information both in the hospital and at home. She was a blessing!"
