Shopping with Kids: Here's Your Checklist
I will tell you there was a time where I loathed going grocery shopping with my kids. Grabby hands and meltdowns and tipping carts. My Wee Cooks are older now but there are a few thing that have made the weekly shopping trip a bit more stress-free over the years.
Tips for Grocery Shopping with Kids: 1. Snacks. It doesn't matter if they just ate bring them or open something to eat in the store. Preferably not sticky, not drippy, sugar free and can be held easily by little hands. 2. Bathroom. Make sure everyone goes to the bathroom before you leave the house! Dragging kids into the public bathroom is always a drag and it prolongs the shopping trip! 3. Participation. Get them involved. Have one kiddo at a time seek out an item from your list as you hang back to watch.
4. The List! Make a list, check it twice, and don't forget it! This will streamline your trip and avoid standing in the middle of the aisle scratching your head while your kids run circles around you! This has obviously never happened to me. 😉  I also have my oldest hold the list and read off the items! Â
Try these and let me know how it goes!!!
