One Fruit and Vegetable at a Time

What is the number one parenting struggle for many?

Getting kids to eat healthy food.

What I notice, as a mom and a caregiver, is that we don't have trouble getting kids to eat things like cheese, crackers, hot dogs or other processed foods and often resort to feeding kids these foods to eliminate struggles. I continually struggled with making sure they ate enough fruit and vegetables every day.

I got frustrated and then I got creative and taught myself to cook and had my kids join in. This, along with gleaning from other parents, healthy eating sites and trial and error, blossomed into well-rounded, happily healthy-eating kids!

I have this idea that if we introduce fruits and vegetables enough and without disguising them too much that kids will eat them willingly and happily!

I hope you join me and my kids as we create simple recipes together and try out healthy eating ideas! We will encourage our kids to to cook and eat one fruit or vegetable at a time!
